Terms of service
GALLAGHER DETAILING LIMITED
General Client Terms & Conditions
At Gallagher Detailing, we take pride in delivering a professional, reliable and extremely high standard of mobile detailing. To allow us to provide this service consistently, we ask all clients to respect our booking policies, working requirements and terms of business.
By making a booking with Gallagher Detailing, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.
⸻
Mobile Service & Working Location
Gallagher Detailing is a mobile service operating at your home, workplace or another agreed location.
We require a safe and suitable area in which to work, along with reasonable access to the vehicle. Where required for the booked service, we may also need access to a suitable electrical power supply and/or water supply.
For insurance and safety reasons, Gallagher Detailing reserves the right to refuse to commence work where we believe the location presents an unreasonable risk to ourselves, our equipment, the client’s vehicle or members of the public.
This includes, but is not limited to:
* Main or heavily used roads
* Unsafe roadside locations
* Roads that are too narrow to work safely
* Locations with insufficient space around the vehicle
* Pay-and-display or restricted car parks where detailing work is prohibited
* Any location where our equipment would create an obstruction or safety risk
If you are unsure whether your location is suitable, please contact us before booking. We will always try to find a suitable alternative where possible.
⸻
Bookings & Deposits
All bookings with Gallagher Detailing may require a deposit to secure the appointment.
Your booking is not considered confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, deposits are non-refundable. This is because appointment time is specifically reserved for you and may prevent us from accepting other work.
Where possible, Gallagher Detailing may allow a booking to be transferred to another suitable vehicle, person or location, provided we are contacted in advance and the new booking meets our working requirements.
Any changes remain at the discretion of Gallagher Detailing.
⸻
Cancellations & Rearrangements
Gallagher Detailing cannot be held responsible for circumstances outside of our reasonable control, including severe weather, traffic incidents, vehicle breakdowns, illness, emergencies or other unforeseen events.
If we are required to cancel or rearrange your appointment, we will make reasonable efforts to offer another suitable appointment.
Where Gallagher Detailing is unable to fulfil the booking within a reasonable period following a cancellation made by us, any deposit relating to the uncompleted service will be refunded where appropriate.
⸻
Vehicle Condition & Additional Charges
Prices and appointment durations are based on the information provided to us and the reasonably expected condition of the vehicle.
Additional charges may apply where a vehicle requires substantially more work than reasonably expected.
Examples include excessive:
* Pet hair
* Mud
* Sand
* Mould
* Food or drink contamination
* Bodily fluids, including vomit or blood
* Heavy staining
* Excessive rubbish
* Severe interior contamination
* Tar, fallout or other exterior contamination
If you believe your vehicle may require additional work, please send photographs before your appointment so we can provide a more accurate estimate.
Where additional work becomes apparent on arrival, this will be discussed with you before additional chargeable work is undertaken.
⸻
Missed Appointments & Access
The client is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is available and accessible at the agreed location and appointment time.
Late cancellations, missed appointments, failure to provide access to the vehicle or an unsuitable working location may result in the loss of your deposit and/or charges being applied for the time that was reserved.
A missed appointment represents working time that Gallagher Detailing may not reasonably be able to refill at short notice.
Any outstanding invoices must be paid within the payment terms stated on the invoice. Gallagher Detailing reserves the right to pursue unpaid invoices through the appropriate recovery process.
⸻
Maintenance Scheme
Gallagher Detailing’s Maintenance Scheme is designed for vehicles that have already been brought up to our required standard and are being professionally maintained at regular intervals.
Maintenance appointments must take place within the agreed maintenance schedule.
Where a vehicle goes significantly beyond its agreed maintenance interval, Gallagher Detailing reserves the right to charge accordingly or require another Deep Clean before the vehicle can return to the Maintenance Scheme.
We understand that vehicles are used and unexpected situations happen.
If your vehicle has experienced unusually heavy use, such as off-roading, excessive mud, significant pet hair, vomit or spills, heavy staining or unusually excessive dirt or contamination, please inform us before your appointment.
This allows us to allocate sufficient time and prevents unexpected delays from affecting clients booked later in the day.
Where we are not informed beforehand and the vehicle requires substantially more work than a normal maintenance appointment, additional charges may apply.
Maintenance Cancellations & Missed Appointments
We understand that plans change and occasionally an appointment needs to be rearranged. We simply ask that you provide Gallagher Detailing with at least 48 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend your scheduled maintenance appointment.
Where less than 48 hours’ notice is provided, including where an appointment has been forgotten or we arrive and the vehicle is unavailable, a late-cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled maintenance appointment price will be payable.
This policy is not designed to penalise our clients. As a small business, appointments are allocated specifically to each customer and short-notice cancellations are often impossible to replace.
For Gallagher Detailing to remain sustainable, reliable and able to continue providing a high standard of service, we must protect the working time reserved for each client.
Where more than 48 hours’ notice is provided, we will be happy to work with you to rearrange your maintenance appointment subject to availability.
Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in removal from the Maintenance Scheme or future appointments requiring payment in advance.
Vehicle Preparation for Maintenance Appointments
For every Maintenance Scheme appointment, the vehicle must be completely empty, safely positioned, accessible and ready for us to begin work immediately upon arrival.
All personal belongings, rubbish, child seats, loose items and anything else that may prevent us from accessing or cleaning any area of the vehicle must be removed before Gallagher Detailing arrives — not once the appointment has started.
The vehicle must also be positioned in a safe and suitable working area before our scheduled arrival.
If another vehicle, object, gate, equipment or any other obstruction is preventing safe access to the vehicle, this must be moved or dealt with before the scheduled appointment time.
Likewise, if the vehicle itself needs to be moved from a garage, road, parking space or other location to provide us with a safe and accessible working area, this must be completed before we arrive.
Our allocated appointment time begins from the agreed booking time. We cannot extend appointments because a vehicle was not prepared or accessible when we arrived.
Time spent waiting for belongings to be removed, vehicles to be moved or the working area to be made accessible reduces the time available to complete your detail and may cause delays to every client booked after you.
Where a vehicle is not empty, ready or safely accessible upon arrival, Gallagher Detailing reserves the right to reduce the work completed within the remaining appointment time, apply an additional charge where additional time is required, reschedule the appointment, or refuse to carry out the appointment where the working conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
Our maintenance service relies on an organised schedule. We therefore ask that every maintenance client has their vehicle completely empty, accessible and ready to be worked on before we arrive, allowing us to dedicate the full appointment time to maintaining your vehicle to the expected Gallagher Detailing standard.
⸻
Vehicle & Detailing Disclaimer
Gallagher Detailing will always take reasonable care when working on your vehicle.
However, the client is responsible for informing us of any known defects, previous repairs, repainted panels, damaged trim, loose components, electrical problems, aftermarket modifications or other areas of concern before work begins.
Some defects may only become visible once a vehicle has been thoroughly cleaned, decontaminated or polished.
Gallagher Detailing cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage or defects that become apparent during the detailing process where reasonable care has been taken.
Paint correction results can vary depending on paint type, lacquer thickness, previous repairs, existing damage and the overall condition of the vehicle.
Where appropriate, paint depth measurements and professional judgement will be used to determine a safe level of correction. Gallagher Detailing will prioritise the preservation and safety of the vehicle’s paintwork over unnecessarily aggressive defect removal.
⸻
Weather Conditions
As a mobile detailing business, weather conditions can occasionally affect our ability to safely or effectively complete certain services.
Rain, excessive heat, freezing temperatures, high winds or other unsuitable conditions may require an appointment to be delayed, rearranged or adapted.
Gallagher Detailing will always make reasonable efforts to complete the agreed work, but we will not compromise the quality of the service, the safety of the vehicle or the safety of our equipment simply to complete an appointment in unsuitable conditions.
⸻
Photography & Social Media
Gallagher Detailing may photograph or record vehicles before, during and after detailing work for portfolio, training, website and social media purposes.
We will make reasonable efforts to avoid displaying personal information such as addresses or belongings.
If you do not want your vehicle photographed or used for marketing purposes, please inform us before work begins.

These terms are designed to protect both Gallagher Detailing and our clients while allowing us to provide a professional, reliable and consistently high-quality service.
